In 2017 he was selected for base research activity funds (art. 1, point 295 and following, of Law 11 december 2016 n. 232) as outstanding Italian Associate Professor in Transportation.
In February 2014 he awarded the “certificate of appreciation” from Committee on Transportation and Air Quality (ADC 20), Transportation Research Board (Washington, DC, USA).
In March 2012 he was selected as “2011 Outstanding Reviewer” for the Journal of Urban Planning Development (ASCE). <see>
In December 2008 he received the award of appreciation as authors of paper “A demand model for international freight transport by road” published on the first number of international journal “European Transport Research Review” (Springer Berlin/Heidelberg).
In 2006 he received the award of AILOG (Italian Association of Logistics and Supply Chain Management) for his Ph.D. thesis.
In 2004 he received the award of Anassilaos Giovani for his research activity.
